April is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been practicing in the Mental Health field since 2007. She is currently the District Marriage and Family Therapist for Hemet Unified School District. April oversees the Tier 2 and 3 supports, is a trainer of Restorative Practices, facilitates the Challenges of Youth Collaborative, provides Trauma-Informed Care training, sits on the Student Attendance Review Board (SARB), member of the Crisis Response Team, and serves as the District Social Worker for the Foster and Homeless Support Services Team. She is also a Commissioner on the Riverside County Behavioral Health Commission. She is also Chairs the Legislative Committee and Public Advocacy Committee.
