Complex social problems require multifaceted solutions. Learn how Beach Cities Health District serves as the backbone organization and utilizes a collective impact approach to address higher levels of substance use, suicidal ideation and anxiety in local youth. Through a common agenda, shared measurement, mutually reinforcing activities and continuous communication, 8,000 residents have been engaged in the Beach Cities Partnership for Youth coalition of students, parents, providers, schools and policymakers.

Participants will:
- Learn how to engage and educate the parent population
- Acquire practical skills to activate the student voice in addressing mental health
- Establish foundation to deliver high-quality social-emotional curricula in schools
- Learn how to engage local mental health providers in school-based solutions
