With building mental health threats to the wellbeing of youth in Pakistan that results in rising aggressive, self-harming and depressive behaviors we tried to follow Pablo Picasso who said “Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life.” Project Act to heal organized creative activities like writing, theatre, painting and music to help improve mental health issues and release stress among young populace of Karachi. We used these sessions as a powerful tool to enhance positive attitudes, relieving stress, reducing aggression and improve cognitive health.
The session will help Participants
• To familiarize with the value of inculcating art therapy in healing for wellbeing of youth.
• To learn about creative activities that can help to improve brain and body responses towards everyday life stressors.
• It will help educators from less resourceful places to know how we can heal students in less resources with healthier outcomes
