Optimism is a mental attitude that fosters the belief that successful outcomes are possible. It is a critical antidote to the paralysis in thinking called learned helplessness. In this workshop, participants will explore the construct of realistic optimism, and why hope is a critical strategy. Strategies for teaching realistic optimism in schools and classrooms will be shared. This is an interactive workshop with real classroom scenarios discussed.
