2020 California Student Mental Wellness Conference

This session will briefly review ACEs science, and then primarily focus on sharing strategies from the field for applying ACEs science through community building. Presenters will discuss how interrupting the cross generational transmission of ACEs results in healthier children, families and communities. Schools cannot do this work alone, it is essential that work in partnership with communities so all families can thrive.

ACEs Connection resources, including the ACES's in Education site, are designed to support local leaders as they develop a deeper understanding of strategies for accelerating their local ACEs initiative. In this session, special emphasis will be placed on strategies for starting and growing geographic and interest based communities. This session will appeal to all educators, family and support personnel, as well as community based organizations seeking to join the work of building resilient communities.
