The purpose of this presentation is to introduce concepts and provide a framework for application of Into Action’s brain-based approach to neurobehavioral disabilities.
The goal is to establish a common language for parents, professionals, and community partners, a shared understanding of behaviors from a brain-based perspective, and how to work with individuals affected by neurobehavioral conditions.
Participants will understand three concepts:
1) A conceptual framework establishing neurobehavioral disabilities as a brain- based physical condition.
2) The Neurobehavioral Screen with definitions of primary, secondary, and tertiary behavioral symptoms.
3) The application using the Functional Neurobehavioral Assessment in daily life.
