Learning Objectives:
 Identify the most common types of anxiety disorders among youth, the
signs, symptoms and risk factors
 Understanding the complexities of anxiety during the pandemic
 Learn best practice strategies and resources to support our students in
navigating anxiety

Description: Pre-Covid19, anxiety disorders will have affected one in four youth over their lifetime. It is the most prevalent mental health disorder among children and adolescents today. As the world deals with a global pandemic, anxiety has increased. Of the 11,000 11 to 17-year-olds who took a screening on Mental Health America website, 83% screened positive or at-risk for anxiety. This session will unpack the layers of anxiety our youth are currently experiencing and provide easily accessible coping strategies and tools to address anxiety.
