Prior to the onset of COVID-19, a study forms the UCL Institute of Education revealed that one in 20 teachers suffers with a mental illness that has lasted or is likely to last more than a year. COVID-19 has only exasperated those figures. Our teachers are feeling stress, anxiety, and fear. Consequently, it is incumbent upon school leaders to check-in and support their staff.  It is time to begin investing in our staff as human beings and not just as employees. Participants will learn to conduct staff wellness checks, implement workplace stigma reduction practices, and will receive concrete examples to build school community cultures of connection.
