Melissa Ambrose, LCSW/PPS, is the Wellness Coordinator for Jefferson Union High School District in Daly City. Prior to this position, she was a teacher and Wellness Counselor at Oceana High School in Pacifica for over 20 years. Melissa is passionate about the practice of mindfulness and its beneficial mental and emotional impacts. She has completed several levels of training with Mindful Schools, including their year-long teacher training program and has been teaching mindfulness in classrooms, to staff and at conferences since 2010. In 2019, she completed a year-long training and certification in Cultivating Emotional Balance, a model that combines the neuroscience of emotions and mindfulness practice to help people better understand and respond to difficult emotional experiences.
