Dr. Barón, a psychologist with 31 years of clinical and administrative experience, joined the San Diego Center for Children (SDCC) as President and CEO in 2014. SDCC provides a continuum of therapeutic and educational services to children and families with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.
Prior to joining the Center, he served as Assistant Vice President for Student Wellness at the University of San Diego and as Adjunct Faculty at the School of Leadership and Education Sciences. He also founded the COMPASS Academic Center leading a team that developed multidisciplinary programs to support families of children with special needs.
