Michelle Cortez is an experienced school administrator with a background and passion for literacy, the arts, and wellness integration in secondary schools. She served as principal at Aspire Lionel Wilson Prep in Oakland, CA in the East Bay for seven years and currently serves as Director of Marin School of the Arts and Assistant Principal at Novato High School. With National Equity Project tools, Stanford d school design thinking experience and yoga training, Cortez works to improve school culture and student outcomes through innovative school initatives, professional development, and community partnerships.
