Mike is a past Interim Dean and Associate Dean for Research in the UCSB Gevirtz Graduate School of Education. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the American Education Research Association and a member of the Society for the Study of School Psychology. As the IES Project Covitality Principal Investigator, he directed the California Student Wellness Study (CSWS, www.covitalityucsb.info). He is a co-editor of the Handbook of Positive Psychology in Schools (2008, 2013, 2022). This presentation examines a relatively unconsidered topic of how the health, political, and social angst in the past three years have impacted students' social wellbeing. And, there is a bonus. I'll share information about new wellbeing items in the California Healthy Kids Survey.
