I graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983. I have been practicing as a Registered Nurse for 36 years. I received a school nurse credential in 2003 from California State University, Fresno and have been practicing as a school nurse for 16 years. Currently, I am enrolled in Maryville University working towards a Masters in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Along with Feliciano Aguilar, School Psychologist, I facilitated the development and implementation of the Santa Maria Bonita School District’s crisis response model. I am involved in expanding school based health/mental health programs. I have been married for 36 years and have 5 grown children, and one new grandson.
