Cathryn has been working within the field of Education since 2009 in various roles: Teacher, Creative Arts Therapist, Researcher, and School Psychologist.She has degrees in Creative Arts Therapy (Russell Sage College), Child Development and School Psychology from Tufts University. Prior to working in the field of School Psychology, she was heavily immersed in the field of research for various institutes including Tufts University, MIT, and Tufts Floating Hospital for Children. Research projects included investigating resilience factors in students who participated in music programs, researching the benefits of neurofeedback programs in schools for children who were diagnosed with ADHD, and looking at brain development to identify early indicators of Dyslexia.
Cathryn is passionate about Social Emotional Learning, Mental Health Systems within Schools, Social Justice, collaborating with parents and advocating for all of our students needs.
She recently presented at the National Association for School Psychology Conference (2019) on creating effective mental health systems within schools, and received the California School Psychology Award (2019) to implement Social-Emotional Curriculum within Schools.
Outside of work she enjoys hiking, baking, reading, traveling and adventuring with her dog.
