Shannon is the founder of FASD Strong in Southern California, offering education, support, advocacy, trainings and coaching. She is passionate about a strengths based approach to FASD and neurodiversity, helping parents and professionals find tools and starter strategies in working with FASD and other brain based conditions . She believes that once we understand how the brain works, we can help children, teens, and adults through difficult moments with less frustration.
Shannon is a certified facilitator in teaching and training the FASCETS Neurobehavioral model, developed by Diane Malbin, MSW. She is a board member of both FASCETS and the FASD Network of Southern California, and is certified in youth mental health first aid. She is pursing her SEAT certification for IEP advocacy.
