Senior Director, Student Services
Nicola Parr serves as the Director of Student and Program Support for the Solano County Office of Education. Nicola has 20 years of experience in educational systems primarily serving students attending alternative and special education programs. She has served as a teacher, principal, and director. In those roles, Nicola has focused on building multi-tiered systems of support to address the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students. Nicola is an experienced Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) coach and trainer. She has facilitated the implementation of a PBIS countywide initiative which trained 70% of schools within Solano County. In 2019, Nicola worked collaboratively with community partners to establish a countywide initiative to open 30 school wellness centers. The PBIS and School Wellness initiatives each demonstrate Nicola’s commitment to increase collaboration with partners to improve both academic and health outcomes for all students.
