Noah has been married to his high school sweetheart for more than fifteen years, and they have five children. Just soak that in and imagine the pandemic homeschooling fun. He is a passionate advocate for community-based suicide prevention and has worked in the mental health field for nearly 20 years. He has worked with the severely and persistently mentally ill, homeless, substance addicted.
Noah never met his paternal grandfather as he died by suicide at age 52. While Noah was a senior in high school, his father who struggling with substance use and inadequately treated mental illness, died by suicide at age 52. School-based interventions and supports are very dear to him. For the last decade he has worked in strategic planning and implementation of suicide prevention efforts in communities including Tulare, Kings, Fresno, Santa Cruz, and Los Angeles counties among other other communities. This work includes prevention, intervention, and postvention. He has responded directly to the scene of dozens of suicides to support the newly bereaved through postvention response efforts called LOSS Team. He is a firm believer that everyone has a role in prevention.
