Robyn Gantsweg has a PhD in clinical psychology, is queer and has a mental health disability. With over 25 years’ experience as both a client and mental health provider, she knows the barriers queer peers face accessing and receiving culturally responsive and respectful services. Since 2002, she has worked as the Peer Self Advocacy Program Manager at Disability Rights California. We teach people with mental health disabilities their rights and how to advocate for their own needs and goals. She implemented a project to teach UCLA students with mental health disabilities about their rights, resources and overcoming stigma and discrimination.
